We are currently hiring for a field-based Commissioning Engineer/Technician to perform fault finding and commission Passenger Boarding Bridges and related equipment at airports across various client sites.
Your Mission and Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will ensure all equipment and facilities at client sites are installed correctly, safely, and function as expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and deliver functional systems according to project scope.
- Follow the companies Commissioning processes to ensure systems are properly tested and delivered.
- Train customers on how to use products at both operator and maintainer levels.
- Oversee the handover process to the customer.
- Travel nationwide (including Ireland) and internationally as required.
- Offer operational improvements and advice.
- Create and implement test procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve faults and problems.
- Liaise with clients and installation/project engineers.
- Supervise engineering and technical teams.
- Analyze performance and safety data.
- Write reports and documentation.
- Provide technical support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Time-served Electrical Engineering experience.
- Experience with PLC controls and HMI systems.
- PLC software experience is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge.
- Previous knowledge of the airport sector is a plus.
- Full UK Driving License is required.

Airside Requirements:
As the role involves working airside at international airports, the following checks are required:
- 5-year continuous satisfactory references (required for airside pass).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Clear criminal records check (dated within the last 10 weeks, cost covered by the employer).
