Specification Technologist - Food & Drink
We are seeking a detail-oriented Specification Technologist to join our clients established company. As a key member of our technical team, you'll ensure their products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate product specifications
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers on technical matters
- Review and approve artwork to ensure compliance with food labelling regulations
- Support NPD with technical input and documentation
- Conduct specification gap analysis and implement improvements
- Ensure product compliance with UK/EU food legislation
Requirements:
- Food science or related degree
- Experience in ambient food manufacturing or distribution
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication abilities with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and specification management systems
