At Clarus Education, we are supporting a FE College in West London who are seeking to appoint a Motor Vehicle Lecturer on a full time basis to join their experienced, supportive team based at Uxbridge Campus. 

Their Motor Vehicle Section is equipped with fully fitted, recently refurbished workshops and up to date equipment and resources. 

They have invested in hybrid/electric technology, as this is a growing area of their course provision. The college’s learners are mostly aged 16-19 and studying City and Guilds qualifications, although they have plans to introduce IMI qualifications.

To be considered for this role: 
•    You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Motor Vehicle/Automotive, with experience gained within the Motor Vehicle industry and will have some experience of teaching, training or assessing
•    Be a good communicator with a passion for Motor Vehicle
•    Be able to engage and motivate young people aged 16-19
•    Ideally have a Level 5 DET Teaching Qualification or PG Certificate, however if you do not already possess a teaching qualification, the College will support you to achieve this

Qualifications 
•    Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Motor Vehicle
•    Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g DET, PGCE or equivalent**) or     willingness and ability to work towards a recognised     teaching qualification, supported by the College
•    Assessor award (A1 or equivalent) or willing to obtain

Knowledge and Experience
•    Relevant experience in the Motor Vehicle industry
•    Experience in hybrid/electric vehicle technology
•    Teaching/training experience 
•    Experience of assessing people in the workplace
•    An understanding of the Further Education sector, particularly the City and Guilds range of programmes

Other Skills 
•    Ability to enthuse and engage vocational learners aged 16-19
•    Good communication skills, written and verbal
