We are seeking a proactive Business Engagement Officer to join our team. This role involves engaging with a diverse range of employers, from supporting large organisations in maximising their apprenticeship levy to advising SMEs on how apprenticeships can benefit their operations. The successful candidate will manage a territory plan to generate new business opportunities and provide training solutions to close skills gaps.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage with a broad range of employers, including large levy-paying businesses and SMEs.
  • Advise on the benefits and implementation of apprenticeship programmes.
  • Manage a territory plan that supports all college sites across the group.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities.
  • Provide training solutions for employees to address skills gaps.
  • Identify recruitment needs, including work experience and industry placement opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems.
  • Experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in engaging with employers and understanding their business needs.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and the apprenticeship levy is desirable
