Purpose* Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will join a skilled and motivated Ground Investigation (GI) Operations team at the Heathrow office. The role involves delivering ground investigation and geotechnical services to the client's diverse portfolio across the UK. The client operates in various sectors, including major infrastructure projects (highways, rail), nuclear, new builds, onshore and offshore energy, and environmental initiatives.

General Responsibilities/Specific Duties:* Demonstrate confidence and expertise in ground investigation techniques.* Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during site works, ensuring the safety of operatives and fostering a safe working environment.* Oversee the planning, supervision, and programming of Ground Investigation projects across various UK locations.* Log soil and rock in accordance with the specification and BS5930 standards.* Maintain accurate records of field activities and tasks completed.* Serve as a Site Agent or in a support role, managing multiple activities and staff on both short-term and long-term projects.* Conduct in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with technical specifications and current industry standards.* Liaise with clients, engineers, and main contractors throughout the site works phase.* Manage and collate site data using company software systems.* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial project accounts.* Prepare factual reports as required.* Adhere to company Health & Safety protocols and standards.* Maintain the physical fitness required to perform site-based tasks across various types of projects, including active construction sites and linear infrastructure projects.

Qualifications* Degree-level qualification in a geotechnical discipline.* Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Competencies* Membership in a relevant professional body, with progress toward Chartered status.* Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, documents, and reports for effective communication and record-keeping.* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.* Strong attention to detail.* Flexibility and mobility to accommodate the demands of the role.* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Desirable* Experience working in a dynamic office environment.* Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, with the ability to implement these regulations in practice.
