Our client is an ambitious local authority who are seeking a Development Control Engineer with experience in transport planning and development planning applications to join them on a contract basis, initially for 2 months.
Â
Your key responsibilities:
Â
·Work with developers to devise packages of measures that mitigate against any detrimental highway, traffic, and transportation impacts.
·To engage in negotiations with developers for Section 38/278/106 agreements with regard to the traffic, highways and transportation aspects of development proposals. To then monitor the delivery and implementation of these agreements.
·Attending meetings and drafting reports that contain such traffic, highways and transportation advice needed as part of the Pre-Application Advice service.

What is required?
·As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working in a local authority.
