THE ROLE - Principle Mechanical Design Engineer
This is a rare opportunity to join a hugely successful aerospace engineering business in the design of exiting, safety critical aerospace equipment.
It is imperative that you have strong aerospace design experience, with a preference to that being related to electromechanical systems.
As a Principal Design Engineer, you'll be spearheading and leading a team on design tasks and taking a lead on complex technical challenges.
DUTIES – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team Mechanical Design Engineers.
- Design of components and supporting equipment utilised in military aircraft.
- Carrying out performance and structural calculations.
- Producing 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Producing supporting documentation for engineering change.
- Working on both new development and sustainment projects.
BACKROUND – Principle Mechanical Design Engineer
- Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree.
- Strong Aerospace background.
- Electromechanical system design experience.
- Analytical mindset.
- Strong leadership qualities.
