Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative working in our Fitting Shop at our Denham site. You'll be undertaking a variety of processes including the assembly and inspection operations to produce and test cables, pipes, high pressure hoses and gun components as part of seat assembly that will contribute to the success of the ejector seats produced onsite, to ultimately save lives.
Aspects of the role include to:

  • Run programmes that test high pressure hoses to required technical and quality standards in accordance with the process specification including in each batch of hoses produced testing of a sample to destruction.
  • Set up programmes for new components in accordance with the parameters in the technical specification and quality standards Conduct Injection Moulding - mould tool set up, barrel configuration, material selection and preparation, programming and machine minding.
  • Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps.

Characteristics & Skills

  • Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
  • Background in H&S policies and procedures / QAI's and COSHH regulations.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • SAP experience
  • Mechanical Apprenticeship desirable.
