We are seeking a motivated and skilled Events Officer to join our vibrant team and support the delivery of our exciting event portfolio.

Position Details:

  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Location: Uxbridge (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, flexible)
  • Start Date: Immediately
  • Length of Assignment: 6 months
  • Working Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday - Friday; 3 days per week considered)
  • Pay: £200 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of diverse events, ensuring every detail is perfect.
  • Venue Setup and Logistics: Support with venue logistics including floor plans, event space setup, signage, and audio-visual arrangements.
  • Vendor Liaison: Communicate with external vendors (catering, equipment suppliers, contractors) to ensure timely delivery and adherence to requirements.
  • Guest and Delegate Management: Manage guest registrations, RSVPs, and assist with attendee inquiries on the event day.
  • On-Site Event Support: Oversee logistics during events to ensure smooth operations, managing staff, volunteers, and handling any unforeseen issues.
  • Event Marketing and Promotion: Help promote events through email campaigns, social media, and other platforms to maximise attendance.
  • Post-Event Activities: Contribute to post-event evaluations, gather feedback, assist with wrap-up, and provide reports on event success.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations and university policies, including risk assessments.
  • Budget Management: Assist with managing event budgets, ensuring all activities stay within allocated resources.
