The role:- Is the No1 role in finance and part of the SLT (senior leadership team). Working closely with the CEO, your responsibilities will include the preparation and presentation of the monthly and quarterly management accounts pack, balance sheet reconciliations, year end and statutory accounts. Acting as commercial lead on new business projects, evaluating and managing risk, whilst overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. Monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting is achieved. Provide commercial/strategic support and analysis of the numbers optimising and implementing systems, internal controls and best practices at all times.
* Treasury and cash flow management
* Prepare annual budget and other forecasts as required
The person:- Qualified, graduate ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 10 years post qualification experience. A commercial results-driven individual comfortable getting involved with the financial operations of the business from the 'bottom up'. This is a 'hands on' role for a finance director to business partner with the CEO & SLT and influence the decision-making process whilst improving the company's financial performance. You will recommend and implement best accounting practices and direct the accounting operations of the business. Strong analytic skills, with excellent presentation and reporting skills, an exceptional problem-solver, resilient, confident and out going. Advanced Excel skills useful - hybrid working optional
