Your new companyEstablished business in their market field.Your new roleManagement Accounts & Group ReportingManagement and responsibility (and cover) for purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control processes (including expenses).

Work will include responsibility for ensuring all billing occurs accurately and on time.

Revenue and P&L forecasts - taking management and responsibility for the process and maintaining the forecast documents on at least a monthly basis.

Fortnightly cashflow forecasting

VAT ReturnsQuarterly invoicing - responsibility for maintaining the quarterly invoicing documents, including reconciliations to contractsSystems and processes - manager responsible for improvement and maintenance of all finance processes and those processes that touch finance.Payroll - through external processing company ensuring that employees are paid properly, appropriatelyOther finance department requirements including budgets, dealing with auditors and production of year-end statutory accounts, dealing with tax advisers production of tax returns, liaising with insurance providers etc.

Providing financial support to the rest of the business, including bid reviews and spreadsheets, contract reviews and financial analysis for bids, clients and managers

Quarterly Forecasts and annual budget preparation.What you'll need to succeedQualifications - fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA etc.) with at least three years of post-qualification experience.

Knowledge - the candidate is likely to have worked in a similar environment and have either been responsible previously for the accounting side of the business or been a senior second in command of the finance department.

The candidate will need to have experience of the vast majority of the role requirements detailed above.Leadership experience -

Employee management experience and preferably will have experience of being on a senior management team.

Inter-personnel skills - the candidate is expected to show an ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) and work with staff at all levels.

Systems and IT skills - the candidate must have strong Excel skills, and preferably be good with Word and PowerPoint.

A strong IT systems inclination would be preferred as would experience of initiating and driving financial and system process improvements.
