An outstanding Import Coordinator permanent position has arisen with a top-tier Manufacturing organisation based in Uxbridge, West London / Middlesex.

The Import Coordinator works within the Logistics department. The team transacts between 70-100 imports a month and with newly implemented import processes. This is a pivotal role with great career progression opportunities and it is an exciting time to join the growing team.

This is a full-time onsite position at the Uxbridge site.

Responsibilities - Import Coordinator

  • Responsible for Import Operations which will encompass coordination of tasks such as sourcing, repairs and return material authorisation (RMA), collaborating with stakeholders such as carriers, freight forwarders and custom brokers to optimise the importation process.
  • Support Customs Compliance, controlling the Inward Processing Release - IPR process from RMA to Bill of Discharge, working closely with import brokers to ensure compliance with import and trade regulations, preparing and submitting accurate customs clearance instructions.
  • Organise and maintain comprehensive shipment records, ensuring that documentation is complete and accessible for audit purposes, verifying/reviewing shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
  • Working closely with internal teams with high professional standards, you’ll also proactively communicate with external partners to resolve issues.

Skills & experience - Import Coordinator

  • ProvenIPR (Inward Processing Relief) process experience for a Manufacturing organisation is essential.
  • A team player, with the ability to work independently.
  • Display an eye for detail and getting things right.
  • Know how to listen and communicate effectively with others.
