Import Logistics Coordinator

  • Location: near Uxbridge

We are working in partnership with this company to recruit an Import Logistics Co-ordinator.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Coordinate clearance instructions for various items including those sourced for company use, returned for repair, and test equipment.
  • Manage the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process from initial customer contact to receipt
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and HMRC to ensure smooth operations.
  • Control the Inward Processing Relief process from RMA to Bill of Discharge.
  • Ensure compliance with import and customs procedures such as Returned Goods Relief, IPR (for Repairs), and Home Use.
  • Maintain comprehensive import shipment records, ensuring all documentation is complete and accessible for audit purposes.
  • Verify and review shipping documents and MSS reports for accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
  • Proactively communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve any issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Established experience in import processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent enterprise systems is beneficial (training available).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively listen and interact with various stakeholders.
