Role: Ocean Freight Operator - Imports

My client is seeking a dedicated Ocean Freight Operator, to work from their Uxbridgebranch, who can apply their strong operational knowledge to handle ocean imports and some air import shipments as part of an experienced small but growing team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Independent handling of ocean import shipments from start to finish including booking, shipment control, documentation, transport insurance, accounting and customs handling.
- Customer support in conjunction with the Sales Department including occasional client visits when required.
- Arrange Customs Clearances.
- Communication with UK, Overseas Offices and agents.
- Checking of job file reporting, accuracy and profitability.
Candidate Requirement:
- Minimum 2 Years of experience within Freight Forwarding, preferably in Air & Sea logistics.
- Must be enthusiastic, ambitious, self-motivated.
- Good knowledge of MS Office products.
- Knowledge of Cargowise One desirable.
