Starting Salary:£25,544kLots of overtime available paid at 1.5x pay - £19.83 per hour.Location: Near UxbridgeHours of work: 37 hours a week. 8am - 5pm Mon to Thurs & 8am - 12 noon FridayBenefits: Onsite Parking, 9% Company Paid Pension Scheme, 25 Days Holiday, Life Assurance, 1.5X Overtime Pay.Warehouse Operative needed to join a world leading aerospace engineering and manufacturing business based near Uxbridge.As a picker & packer you will be assisting the with precise picking and kitting, also working in goods out, accurately packing parts for dispatch.The daily duties of a Warehouse Operative include:
- Packing and labelling parts
- Prepare parts for shipping
- Checking batch numbers, volume and part descriptions on in-house computer system
- Ensure parts are packaged with correct packaging material according to instructions
- Picking and issuing material, goods and stock to other internal departments
- Moving goods throughout the facility using counterbalance forklifts, electric pallet stacker and scissor lifts (Training provided)
- Cutting material to size using a saw machine (Training provided)
The profile of a successful Warehouse Operative:
- Prior experience with Picking and Packing in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate, confident with Word and Excel
- Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively
- A desire to learn additional skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Has the drive to perform a task to completion
