Applications without relevant parachute experience will not be considered. ??Are you ex-military, a qualified skydiver, or someone with previous experience packing parachutes? Syntech Recruitment are supporting an aerospace client near Uxbridge in their search for a meticulous and safety-conscious Parachute Packer to join their manufacturing team.You’ll be responsible for the packing of parachutes and drogues, ensuring they’re prepared and compressed in line with strict technical specifications. This role suits someone who thrives in high-precision, process-driven environments where attention to detail is absolutely vital.Parachute Packer – The Role
  • Packing new-build parachutes and drogues to support production and customer spares orders
  • Following manuals, technical drawings and internal documentation precisely
  • Drawing parts from satellite stores and recording batch numbers
  • Checking for flaws and logging findings accurately
  • Preparing parachutes for pressing and operating compression equipment
  • Supporting R&D programmes including prototype testing
  • Conducting self-inspections and tool checks to ensure safety and compliance
  • Handling components with care, adhering to safety and handling procedures
The Right Candidate
  • Previous experience packing parachutes (military, skydiving or similar background)
  • Confident reading technical drawings
  • Comfortable working with hand tools and tying specialist knots
  • Extremely methodical, safety-first approach to all work
  • Experience from sailing or other knot-reliant environments also considered
