Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Timeplan Education is recruiting a HLTA to lead core lessons in a SEMH Primary school in Hillingdon, West London. The role would be to deliver engaging and fun pre-planned lessons to children with SEN, ASD, ADHD, PMLD and SEMH. Experience in supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH is desirable but not essential. You will be working on a full-time, long-term basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comfortable supporting pupils with SEMH, and high-functioning Autism and leading pre-planned lessons,
  • Ability to engage and support pupils' learning
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils
  • To promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities and maximise their achievement
  • Strong behaviour managment

Job Requirements

  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND and SEMH is desirable but is not essential
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
