We are seeking Biology Lecturers to join a Further Education college in West London. This role involves teaching GCSE, A Level, and BTEC Biology. There are two positions available, one for 25 hours per week and another for approximately 15 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are passionate about biology and have a knack for engaging and inspiring students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lectures in Biology at GCSE, A Level, and BTEC levels.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain records of students’ attendance, grades, and progress.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and research in the field of Biology.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the enhancement of teaching strategies and course offerings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching Biology at GCSE, A Level, or BTEC levels.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
