Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Business and Economics: Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
  • Support Academic Success: Inspire students to excel in their studies by delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a love for learning.
  • Prepare for Examinations: Help students build confidence and understanding for success in GCSE and A-Level Business and Economics examinations.
  • Encourage Real-World Understanding: Bring lessons to life by connecting theoretical concepts to real-world applications in business and economics.
  • Monitor and Assess Progress: Evaluate students’ work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to ensure their continuous development.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work as part of the department to develop resources, share best practices, and contribute to the school's ethos.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics, with the ability to teach at KS4 and KS5 levels.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for helping students understand the relevance of Business and Economics in the real world.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

 

Must hold a current Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
