We are seeking an English Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English courses. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about English literature and language and is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their academic work.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to cater to a range of abilities.
- Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
- A recognised teaching qualification in the subject area.
- Experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
