Contract Type: Full-time – Monday to Thursday, 08:45 AM to 4:30 PM

About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting young people with severe learning needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to assist students with very severe needs. You will play a crucial role in providing personal care, supporting with manual handling, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students with complex needs.

In this role, you will work directly with students, providing both academic and personal care support, while ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with severe learning and physical needs.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including manual handling.
  • Support students with challenging behaviour and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students' learning and care needs are met.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of students throughout the day.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Current Child and Adult DBS check.
  • Ideally have Manual Handling training and experience.
  • Safeguarding Level 2 training is essential.
  • Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting students’ development and wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours and schedules.
