GSL Education are currently seeking a number of dedicated and passionate Sociology Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our client schools in Hillingdon. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students and make a positive impact on their understanding of society and social issues.

 

As a Sociology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Sociology lessons that cover a range of topics, including sociological theories, research methods, and key social issues.
  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and thoughtful discussions.
  • Guiding students in their exploration of sociological concepts and encouraging independent research and analysis.
  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their academic development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Sociology curriculum and extracurricular activities related to the subject.

 

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Sociology.
  • In-depth knowledge of Sociology curriculum, including sociological theories, methods, and contemporary issues.
  • Passion for teaching Sociology and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a respectful and engaging learning environment.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in Sociology education.
