The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with various special educational needs, both in and outside the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN in their learning and development.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual needs.
- Help students with personal care and mobility as required.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor student progress.
- Encourage positive behavior and social interaction within the school environment.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
About You:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred but not essential.
- A caring and empathetic nature with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, flexible, and committed to supporting the needs of students.
- A positive approach to learning and a passion for working with young people.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Teaching Assistant, SEN or Childcare related) is desirable but not essential.
