This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Account Manager to join our client, a successful and growing company.

Reporting into the Sales Manager, this role would suit a target-driven individual with strong commercial acumen to grow and manage key customer accounts, as well as identifying and targeting new business opportunities. This is a new position which offers full training and plenty of scope for progression.

Salary up to £35k plus bonus scheme and benefits

Office-based in Uxbridge with off-site customer visits required (*full driving licence is essential)

Key Duties:

  • Achieving sales targets and maintaining high customer service levels
  • Delivering self-generated leads from outbound activity
  • Identifying and nurturing relationships with key accounts and suppliers
  • Understanding each customer's individual needs to recommend the most appropriate products and upselling where possible to generate repeat sales
  • Developing a rapport with customers, maintaining a friendly and collaborative approach at all times.
  • Accurately record sales orders as required
  • Proactive mailshots to existing and prospective customers
  • Taking incoming sales calls
  • Making daily outbound calls to existing and new customers
  • Order processing via phone & email
  • Follow up and chase sample requests
  • Operate live chat system
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product portfolio

Skills Required:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working as part of a team
  • Experience of driving new business leads
  • Proven B2B sales/ account management experience
  • Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions with minimal supervision
  • Should be a team worker, and able to carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision
