A renowned aerospace organisation based in Uxbridge, West London is looking for a highly motivated and resourceful IT Applications Specialist (Systems Automation) to join their Data Automation Management team. The successful candidate will have experience in VBA, Power Automate or PowerShell with expertise in SharePoint and M365 applications.

IT Applications Specialist - Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation using tools such as Visual Basic Applications (VBA) / Power Automate / PowerShell.
  • Assist the Company Data Coordinator with bulk data uploads to sites, using VBA and PowerShell.
  • Provide support, advice and training to all users, enabling correct use of apps, including M365 apps (Power Automate, Power BI, MS Teams, MS Forms), run XLookups and VLookups in Excel.
  • Migrate data from Network Drives to SharePoint.
  • Provide advice and training to all users, enabling correct use of the SharePoint System.
  • Undertake SharePoint Admin tasks - site creation, site design (webparts), bulk adding of users, retrieval (search), bulk metadata changes and versioning.
  • Support with running compliance checks to ensure system integrity, such as running user activity reports.
  • Prepare reports to ensure information is processed to required compliance standards..

Key Skills & Experience - IT Applications Specialist (Systems Automation)

  • Experience using automation tools such as VBA or PowerShell or Power Automate. Comfortable applying Variables, Branching (If, Else statements), Loops and similar programming language elements.
  • Experience as IT local Administrator for business applications such as SharePoint / EDMS / other.
  • Coding experience in Java scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, comfortable running XLookups or VLookups, manipulating data in Excel.
  • General knowledge of M365 and Adobe applications/products.
  • Desire to learn new skills, enthusiastic, pragmatic and professional perspective.
  • Driven to achieve results - enjoys setting own standards and checking work.
