As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the welfare, emotional well-being, and personal development of our students, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

About the role - Pastoral Manager - Hillingdon

  • Oversee the pastoral care of students, providing support with social, emotional, and behavioural issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance, behaviour, and overall well-being.
  • Act as a point of contact for students, parents, and staff, providing advice, guidance, and support when needed.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
  • Monitor student progress, identify issues early, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Lead and support the pastoral team in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing school environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a pastoral or mentoring role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting students with diverse needs.
  • A passion for supporting young people and helping them to reach their full potential.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
