The Role
The Managing Director will be responsible for giving strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that our client achieves its financial vision, mission and long-term goals.
Goals and achievements
The successfull candidate will be a seasoned International Logistics Professional
Developing and implementing strategic plans and company policies, maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders and drive organizational success to achieve the strategic business objectives.
Reporting
This position hierarchically reports to the CEO
Integration Protocol
During the first months, the candidate will be expected to develop new strategies and implement them.
Candidates Profile
o A strong track record of business development , operational, financial and sales leadership within the Domestic & International courier sector.
o Strong operational leadership with demonstrated history of building teams
o Ability to Implement a strategy and devise the local footprint
o Strong operational experience within the industry
o Commercially astute with having taken responsibility for a P&L
o Experience in Client Relationship Management.
o In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics.
o An understanding of urgent shipment/airfreight and crossborder services.
o Previous history of client networks and strong relationships especially within the retail business.
o Strong leadership and communication.
o Hands on experience in creating reporting and managing budgets.
o Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
o Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
o Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
o Willingness to travel across the UK and possibly Europe is needed.
Package
Executive Package OTE :-£220k
Base :- To £180k
