Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Traffic Management Supervisors or Banksmen in the West London area who would be interested in a full time, permanent opportunity.
Role Profile:
This role will have responsibility for directing the movement and loading/unloading of lorries and directing the movement of mobile plant. As banksman you will also control the movements of excavator or other mobile plant, by carefully monitoring the bucket for any obstructions and other vehicle movements and pedestrians.

Role Duties:
- Awareness and confidence to control all vehicles on site and direct to the relevant departments, ensuring one-way systems and speed limits are always obeyed.
- Experienced in using practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers in all manoeuvres.
- Ensure pedestrian routes are adhered to.
- Ensure visibility by wearing hi visible clothing, such as reflective trousers /shirt/coat at all times.
- Always have clear and effective communication with drivers through use of the 2-way radio.
- Report to the Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors on any near miss incidents involving vehicle movements in the yard.
Applicant Profile:
- Safety awareness
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Organised and able to clearly convey instructions
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the waste and recycling industries
- Good working knowledge and experience of associated plant and machinery
