Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient management of inventory, staff, and logistics. A valid forklift license is required for this position, as you will be responsible for operating forklifts and ensuring safe practices are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and loading products.
- Coordinate and schedule work activities for warehouse staff to optimise productivity and efficiency.
- Train and mentor warehouse employees on proper safety procedures, equipment operation, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to maintain accuracy.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, employee performance, and operational efficiency for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate timely order fulfilment and resolve any logistical issues.
- Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse operations and reduce costs.
Personal Profile:
- Education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
- Ability to operate both Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
