About Our Client:

Our client, a leading cinema exhibition services company in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, is seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to join their team. With a strong focus on operational excellence, they provide comprehensive solutions in projection equipment, audio systems, central systems, cinema outfitting, content management, 3D projection systems & glasses, digital signage, screens, and seating.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimise the operational aspects of the engineering department
  • Manage engineering workflow, scheduling, and proportioning of work to engineers
  • Coordinate pre-planned servicing on cinemas
  • Manage engineers and ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Handle emergency repair requests and manage client expectations
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic goals
  • Analyse current operational processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure excellence
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects and operations
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage the engineering operations budget
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Essential:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in engineering operations or a related managerial role
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, project management, and quality assurance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to balance short-term and long-term goals
  • Familiarity with industry best practises and emerging trends in engineering operations

Desirable:

While not required, the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience in the cinema or entertainment industry
