We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Music Teacher to join our school community in March 2025. This role offers the chance to secure a permanent position by July 2025, providing the opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and nurturing environment.

About the Role:

As a Music Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the creative potential of our students. You’ll design and deliver a dynamic, inclusive music curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our learners, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Engaging Curriculum Design: Develop and deliver imaginative music lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Inclusive Teaching: Adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of students with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs, ensuring all students can participate and enjoy music.
Positive Classroom Management: Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to provide a cohesive and personalised learning experience.
Student Assessment: Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback, celebrating achievements and addressing challenges.
Extracurricular Activities: Lead music-related events, such as school concerts, choirs, or clubs, to inspire students and build their confidence.
Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest teaching strategies, particularly for students with special needs, and apply innovative approaches in your lessons.
School Engagement: Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and contribute to the vibrant school community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field. A recognised teaching qualification is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience teaching music, with special needs experience highly desirable.
Skills: Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and complex needs, coupled with the ability to design inclusive lesson plans.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and staff effectively.
Passion: A genuine love for music and a commitment to inspiring every student to reach their full potential.
