The school - Primary SEMH Teacher

This Hillingdon based Primary school is a specialist primary school for children, who have a statement or EHCP for Special educational needs or Disability (SEND), predominantly behavioural, social and emotional. The school prides itself on delivering a broad and balanced curriculum as well as offering play therapy, speech and language therapy as well as providing an in-depth assessment of pupils learning needs.

The role -Primary SEMH Teacher

The successful Primary SEMH Teacher will be required to work as a Primary School teacher within the ARP which is part of the Mainstream school. The success Primary SEMH Teacher will need to be confident, organised, creative and resilient with a real passion for teaching (especially in a somewhat challenging environment). They must be able to connect with children across the entire primary age range (Early years to KS2). Ideally, they will have a holistic approach towards seeing the whole child and will endeavour to embrace the challenge of understanding and accommodating that all behaviour is communication. They MUST have a minimum of 4 years’ experience and have a QTS Certificate.
