English Teacher - ECT - Outstanding Ofsted
We are working with an outstanding secondary school based in Hillingdon/Uxbridge who are currently looking for an English Teacher.
School are looking for someone to start from January 2025 on a long term contract until July 2025 or on a permanent contract.
This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Salary will match outer London MPS.
School is located near Picadilly line tube station and has available parking.
We are looking for an English teacher who will be:
- genuinely passionate about teaching English to secondary students and willing to get involved in the community of the school
- able to establish and maintain the standards of pupil behaviour required to create a productive environment
- creative and motivating with a developed routines and strategies that align with school's core values
- successful at creating a safe and supportive learning environment
School seeks to encourage critical thinking and debate and how the texts and themes we study are relevant to modern day. They offer an engaging curriculum that prepares our students to achieve their potential whilst also recognising the vital building blocks needed to support and develop a variety of learners.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A relevant degree
- Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
