As the successful Maths Teacher, your responsibilities will be:

  • To understand the academic abilities of all students and adapt lesson plans accordingly at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. A-Level teaching experience is desirable, but not essential. 
  • To ensure students’ active participation in lessons and encourage whole School participation, such as extracurricular activities.
  • To use all available resources to deliver high quality and engaging lessons. 
  • Promote partnership working to increase and share best practices.

 

As a successful Maths Teacher, you should:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
  • Have a relevant maths-orientated degree at 2:2 or higher.
  • Be able to provide two teaching references from within the last 2 years.
  • Be up to date with the GCSE grading system.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
