Join a supportive primary school in Hillingdon as a Welfare Assistant. The role involves supporting the well-being and educational journey of children during term time.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including before and after school, and during lunch and recess.
  • Assist in managing the general health and well-being of students.
  • Administer first aid, manage medications, and maintain health records of students as needed.
  • Support the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Be responsive to the varying needs of the children and collaborate with educational staff to support individual student needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other school staff regarding student welfare and behaviour as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A caring and understanding nature with the ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with varying schedules.
  • First aid certification is advantageous.
