Housing and Support Officer Vacancy

A well-established charity is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer to join their team on a Permanent basis in Uxbridge. This role will focus on supporting vulnerable youngpeople, aged 16 – 18.

Length of contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week on a shift rota including weekends

Shifts: 8:00am – 2:00pm, 10:00am – 4:00pm and 2:00pm – 8:00pm (must be available for all)

Location: Uxbridge

Salary: £28,662.40 per annum pro rata

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver emotional and life skills-based support, assisting service users with day-to-day tasks
  • Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
  • Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears
  • Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
  • Carry out regular estate inspections
  • Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
  • Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
  • Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-ups

 Essential requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS with the Adults and Children’s lists checked from within the last 3 years or willingness to apply
  • Knowledge of working with vulnerable clients with mental health and substance misuse issues
  • Working knowledge of support plans and risk assessments
