Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Kinship Team to work full time based in Hillingdon.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Social Work Practitioner job is up to £54,129 per annum.Main duties:

  • Provide professional leadership to social work colleagues through demonstrating exemplary practice, sharing knowledge and positively managing the interface between practice and education/training.
  • Act as organisational expert in role specialism, providing advice and support to other social work colleagues and partners.
  • Disseminating specialised Kinship knowledge and advice to other teams as required.
  • Co-ordinating and having oversight of regular Group supervision and reflective time for the team members, and providing coaching and mentoring as required. Arranging learning for the team at intervals through the year that can be considered for continued Professional Development.
  • Developing the Kinship support offer to families and leading on this with the team. This includes the on-going and regular facilitation of Skills to foster training for Kinship carers.
  • Directly supporting learners in the team, such as apprentices and SW Students, this may include a Practice Educator role, as required. This will entail office based working where needed to ensure best learning opportunities and outcomes.
  • Manage social work caseload of most complex cases.
  • Model and take responsibility for workforce planning and workload allocation systems to sustain the Standards for Employer’s of Social Workers.
  • Provide professional consultation to all teams within the directorate and other agencies, ensuring effective and efficient practice and procedures are in place.
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with required Standards including the Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework.

Requirements of this role:

  • A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
