LSA/Teaching Assistant with Music/Humanities Specialism

We are seeking a dedicated LSA/Teaching Assistant with a specialism in music and humanities to join our team at a co-educational Alternative Provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students aged 11-16, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the planning and delivery of lessons by effectively assisting the teacher in preparing resources and materials.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, as directed by the teacher, to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with other Teaching Assistants and teachers to share best practices and strategies for supporting student learning.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress, interventions, and strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on music or humanities.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
