Learning Support Assistant - Uxbridge (January 2025)

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within a wonderful SEND school located in the Uxbridge area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to carry out a child's care plan and contribute towards all aspects of every child's development. The role will be primarily working across KS3 and KS4 so you must be confident working with secondary aged SEN children

The Role:

  • Support children during social activities and outings in the Uxbridge area
  • A Learning Support Assistant requires you to work one-on-one or in a small group, supporting children with their education, behavioural and social development
  • Assisting Teachers to plan learning activities, prepare learning materials, complete records, and carry out administrative tasks
  • Experienced and confident working with KS3/4 students who are Autistic, dyslexic, ADHD
  • Ensure pupils feel comfortable and confident in their own abilities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or SEND children in any capacity
  • You will need the ability to monitor each pupil's responses and adapt the learning activities to suit their needs
  • Have excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical
  • Either live in Uxbridge or within a commutable distance
