We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving school in the Hillingdon area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, working in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
- Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning activities to suit pupils’ needs.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with their emotional, social, and academic development.
- Encourage independence and confidence in pupils during lessons and activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is essential.
- Familiarity with the Hillingdon area is highly desirable.
- A good understanding of SEN strategies, including supporting pupils with autism and other additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
