HLTA - Uxbridge

We're seeking an experienced HLTA to join our Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Uxbridge, London, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified HLTAs or those with equivalent experience working in SEN education.

Role Overview: You'll lead classes alongside 5-6 teaching assistants, delivering lessons and interventions across our all-through school. Working closely with class teachers and our SENCO, you'll help implement the national curriculum while supporting students with additional needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver classroom instruction and targeted interventions
  • Collaborate with external specialists (Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists)
  • Support students' social, emotional, physical, and communication development
  • Help prepare students for active participation in the community and adult life

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working with SEN students or delivering lessons in primary/SEN settings
