Job Title: PPA Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We are seeking a PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) Teacher to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching & Learning Support: Provide high-quality teaching and support across all year groups, covering classes during teachers' PPA time. Ensure that lessons are differentiated to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with Autism, SEMH, and complex needs.
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively, following the school’s policies and procedures.
- Planning & Preparation: Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and prepare engaging lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Ensure that all activities align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Student Development: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential. Implement strategies to promote social and emotional development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to education. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Be adaptable in working across various classes and year groups, stepping in where needed to ensure continuity of learning for all students.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential, with experience in special education preferred.
- Experience with Special Needs: Proven experience working with children with Autism, SEMH, and/or complex needs is highly desirable.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents, adapting your approach to suit the needs of different stakeholders.
- Empathy & Patience: A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of each student.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and strategies to support student development.
- Commitment: A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact in a special needs setting.
