We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide tailored tuition in Maths or English to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role is ideal for a compassionate educator who is committed to making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions in Maths, English, or Science to students with SEND, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Assess students' progress and adapt learning plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to maximise student learning and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress, challenges, and successes.
- Ensure a supportive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Experience providing tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS).
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and other educators.
- Patience, understanding, and a genuine passion for helping students with special educational needs.
