We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join a vibrant, nurturing special needs school as the in-house therapist supporting a diverse and inspiring student community.
About the Role:
As the school's Speech and Language Therapist, you will be a vital part of the multidisciplinary team. Your role will be central to helping students overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential in both learning and social development.
Key Responsibilities:-
Assessment & Planning: Carry out comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students with a range of needs (including autism, learning difficulties, developmental delays, and more).

Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students’ needs, using a variety of evidence-based approaches.

Collaborative Working: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, support staff, and parents/carers to integrate therapy goals into everyday classroom activities and the wider school environment.

Training & Support: Provide training, strategies, and resources to teaching and support staff to ensure continuity of care and communication support throughout the day.

Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and report on student progress, adapting therapy plans as needed.

Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all practices align with safeguarding policies and professional standards.

HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist

Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
