Our client, a global pharmaceutical company with innovative and exciting growth plan, they are currently looking for a Buyer to be part of their team (indirect spend categories). Primarily focusing on the UK operation, additional support will be given to Germany as part of the role.You will be an expert negotiator with confidence working through supplier contracts with consistent awareness of balancing cost, quality and time. Working with key stakeholders across the business operation, you'll be a confident communicator who is process-driven and goal orientated.You'll be looking to join a stable, global company with a rich history in scientific innovation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for multiple countries to ensure optimal supply chain efficiency
  • Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless operations
  • Manage and analyse procurement data to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement / buying / purchasing within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable working across tactical and strategic workload (includes PO management).

A priority will be given to applicants with indirect procurement exposure in the pharmaceutical industry.
