The role:

  • This is an opportunity to join a successful organisation based North Surrey (easy access from M25).   We are seeking a Procurement Manager with previous public sector background who is experienced in running formal tenders and has excellent stakeholder relationship building skills.  Driving license essential to be able to attend regular offsite meetings.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Take responsibility for formal tendering and purchasing for broad range of indirect categories 
  • Develop and improve market knowledge for these categories
  • Identify innovation opportunities for adding value, improving service and delivering savings
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts
  • Provide expert procurement advice and guidance 
  • Undertake analysis and interpreting data to contribute to procurement strategy

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in public sector procurement and contract management
  • Strong understanding of formal tendering processes and public procurement regulations
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to manage supplier and stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform procurement strategies
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
