We are seeking to appoint a part-time English Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our cross-College provision. This role primarily targets vocational learners aged 16-18, alongside a growing number of part-time adult learners. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting vocational learners in their development, helping them progress to higher courses or enter the workplace.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Tailor teaching methods to suit a diverse group of learners, including vocational students and adult learners.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled teachers to share and implement best practices aimed at engaging and motivating resit learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help learners achieve their educational goals.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure the content is relevant and up-to-date.
- A degree in English or a related subject is preferable.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring English GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
- Proven ability to engage and enthuse learners aged 16 to 18 from various vocational disciplines.
- Availability to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
