Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our team on a social housing contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in social housing properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, in social housing properties.

Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and heating issues.

Install, repair, and maintain heating systems, including radiators, and underfloor heating.

Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.

Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents and housing management.

Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Plumber/Heating Engineer, preferably with experience in social housing.

Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating).

Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with heating systems

Knowledge of social housing regulations and requirements.

Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls.
