We have an opportunity available for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper/Cook with a positive, can-do attitude to work for an ultra-high-net-worth family in their high-end 6-bedroom home in Virginia Water. The housekeeper will work alongside other household staff within the main residence and should be a strong team player.

The workload for this role will be varied throughout the year depending on whether the clients are in residence or not, some periods will be more demanding and require longer working hours, but this will be compensated by calmer periods with a smaller workload and days in lieu, where less working hours will be required, so flexibility is key.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, attentive, well-presented, have a strong work ethic and have great initiative so they can manage their workload and maintain high standards without supervision. . Prior longevity in a similar role is essential as well as a valid passport and driving licence. (A car is provided for any driving duties)

Working Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm, with flexibility to work over weekends when the principals are in residence. Accommodation is provided on the premises in a self-contained flat/annex (bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living area)

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • All housekeeping to a very high standard including carefully cleaning and caring for fine finishes/materials and furniture in the home
  • Laundry of vintage clothing, including hand washing where required
  • Daily and batch cooking for the family when the clients are not travelling
  • Household errands
  • Travelling with the principals to their overseas residence in Europe
  • Frequently (weekly/fortnightly) working in their flat in central London
  • Any other domestic duties related to the upkeep and smooth running of the property and working alongside their family assistant
  • Liasing and dealing with contractors
  • Collect/drop-off clients to London Heathrow Airport as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in English both spoken and written, Portuguese would be a plus, but not essential
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be a confident driver
  • High attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Valid passport
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Excellent checkable references
