Sewell Wallis are working with a well-known and reputable manufacturer on the outskirts of Wakefield-near Ossett to recruit a driven part-qualified, or qualified Accountant to join them as a Finance Business Partner.

They are looking for a professional to drive commercial performance within their international business. Business partnering with various senior internal and external contacts, this role involves taking control of the analysis process for their assigned area, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with the team to deliver necessary change.

As this role is working closely with the commercial and financial accounting teams, to be considered you must have strong experience in financial modelling, have good knowledge of accounting, financial and operational principles, and have strong communication skills; previous business partnering experience is a must!

Whilst they'd prefer someone to be fully qualified, they are willing to consider someone who is part-qualified if they have relevant experience.

What will you be doing?

  • Monthly analysis, ensuring performance analysis is supported with context.
  • Working closely with the commercial and finance teams to ensure that performance processes are utilised properly.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Provide project support to senior members within the business, including board members and stakeholders.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Identify and report ways of improvement, implementing changes where required.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
  • Proven business partnering experience.
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail.
